84458 - The Study of Impact Damage of Carbon Fiber Wrapped Cylinder With Aluminum Liner Based on X-Ray Digital Radiography
With the rapid development of hydrogen energy vehicles in China, carbon fiber wrapped cylinder is widely used in the field of on-board hydrogen storage as a high-pressure hydrogen storage container, due to the advantages of strong pressure capacity and light weight. During the use of carbon fiber wrapped cylinder with aluminum liner for the on-board hydrogen storage, vehicle body vibration and traffic accidents may cause impact damage to the cylinder. In order to detect the impact damage of carbon fiber wrapped cylinder with aluminum liner and the expansion of damage during use, this study uses the detection method of X-ray digital radiographyg to detect three parts under the effect of impact energy with different value, and analyzes the expansion of impact damage after different number of pressure cycles. The results show that the tangential transillumination method combined with the compensation block can effectively detect the impact damage of cylinders. The main damage forms of the impacted parts are fiber layer delamination and aluminum inner depression, and the severity of the damage increases with the increase of impact energy. In addition, the delamination size of the fiber layer at the impacted part expands obviously, and the expansion degree increases with the increase of the number of pressure cycles.
