61396 - Vibration Attenuation of Periodic Composite Pipeline Considering Fluid Structure Interaction
In this paper, transfer matrix method (TMM) is developed to calculate band gap structure (BGs) of Bragg mechanism pipeline with the consideration of fluid structure interaction (FSI). Besides fluid velocity and pressure, Poisson coupling and friction coupling are also taken into consideration in theoretical vibration model. The proposed TMM could not only calculate BGs, but also accurately predict the attenuation intensity within stop band gap frequency range. BGs and Frequency response function (FRF) for axial, transverse, torsional and their coupled vibration are calculated and fit well with each other. The studies have good correspondence with Shen’s model, which further verifies the correctness of theoretical derivation and calculation. Through the comparison of three different equivalent models, there all exist Bragg band gap and attenuation characteristic, but the distribution of BGs is completely different. It is found that the influence of FSI should not be ignored, and the BGs of pipeline conveying fluid could not be simply estimated by composite pipeline model or additional mass model. Fluid velocity has little effect on stop BGs frequency range and attenuation intensity, only causing phase angle shift of BGs. With the increasing of inner fluid pressure, the frequency range of stop BGs moves to much lower frequency domain. The meaningful conclusions obtained in this paper provide useful reference for noise and vibration reduction of pipeline system.
