61134 - Vibration Transmission Characteristics of Periodic Composite Pipeline Considering Friction Coupling Effect
In this paper, friction coupling with different patterns of friction is introduced to axial vibration analysis of Bragg mechanism pipeline structure. Transfer matrix method is developed to calculate band gap structures (BGs) in frequency domain after Laplace transformation. Frequency response function for finite periods fit well with BGs for infinite periods, which validates the correctness of proposed theory and calculation method. The energy attenuation mechanism is deeply explored by the comparison of BGs for various kinematic viscous coefficients. The energy dissipation caused by viscous friction exists in the entire frequency range, and it is relatively small compared with the energy attenuated by Bragg mechanism. Therefore, the viscous friction is not affecting the overall trend of BGs, and the attenuation obviously behaves in pass band frequency range. The attenuation curves with various kinematic viscous coefficients are systematically investigated. The results show that the friction coupling is more sensitive in high frequency range than in low frequency range. The vibration energy dissipation considered frequency dependent friction is two orders higher than that of steady state friction. The research in this paper enriches the fluid structure interaction effects theory of pipeline structure, which could supply theoretical guidance and reference for the noise and vibration reduction of pipeline system conveying fluid.
